Argentine, London-based artist Pablo Bronstein (b. 1977) uses a variety of media, such as intricate drawings, large-scale installations and classical dance to explore Baroque, Rococo and neoclassical architecture and ornamentation. For Le Mouvement the Argentinean artist presents a performance of a dancer dancing on the balcony of a classical façade, which overlooks Zentralplatz of Biel/Bienne. Located as such, Pablo Bronstein’s performance inevitably interrogates where private space ends and public space begins. Is the balcony always private? Or does it become public the moment it is occupied by a human body?
