San Keller
The Swiss artist San Keller (b. 1971) has been known since the late 1990s for his sustained performances, which are staged with a light and ironic touch. The artist announces for Le Mouvement: “I will be breaking the law at one of the exhibition venues. Should my actions be discovered, the curators are committed to defending me in court.” SCHAUPROZESS shows the contradictions at work in the reception of contemporary art today: what is publicly tolerated on public ground in a Swiss city, which openly uses performance as a strategy of city marketing?
