Jérôme Leuba
Since 2004 Jérôme Leuba (b. 1970), a Swiss artist living in Geneva, has been making a series of works called battlefield which he produces on a variety of supports. For Le Mouvement, Jérôme Leuba presents battlefield #95/gaze, a performance that places three women and three men on the same sidewalk, and who stare persistently at passers-by, without saying a word. With this piece Jérôme Leuba creates yet another real field of tension, as the title of his series indicates; confusion, perception and visibility are integral parts of his body of work. Who are these individuals? What are they looking at, and why?
