Köppl/Začek
Swiss artists Jörg Köppl (b. 1964) and Peter Začek (b. 1962) have worked together since 1997. For Le Mouvement, they have developed a new performance called Drei Kreise. Each circle represents a particular group (artists, prostitutes, asylum seekers), who are constantly passed from one agent to another. The performance lasts for 72 hours. Köppl/Začek open up an unexpected perspective on public space and its modus operandi: “What makes us walk in circles are less restrictions and prohibitions than economic conditions.”
